Dr. Yoon earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Trinity College in Connecticut and went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree from New Jersey Medical School, Rutgers University, in New Jersey. He completed his internship and residency at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases, NYU Langone Medical Center in New York, where he served as chief resident. He went on to complete a fellowship in orthopedic traumatology and complex adult reconstruction at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Florida.
Direct anterior hip replacement is a minimally invasive hip surgery to replace the hip joint without cutting through any muscles or tendons as against traditional hip replacement that involves cutting major muscles to access the hip joint.
